Dinner…

April 17, 2008 at 1:33 pm (food!)

So, tonight i give you 1 random packet of biscuits, and an amazing food made by myself!

First up, food!

take a packet of ramen, put it in a pan, add half the flavour sachet (that stuff is bbaaaddd for ya), a spring onion, some wholegrain noodles and boiling water. cook for 2 minutes.. then crack 2 eggs onto the noodles, put on a lid, and reduce temperature = the worlds best ramen!

The buscuits on the other hand, were strange… salty and herby and chocolaty..  i ate them of course, but they arnt a winner

Healthy juice.. honest!

April 17, 2008 at 1:16 pm (Uncategorized)

Look at these ingredients! how can this not be healthy!!

The one on the right was foul.. on first sip you got a nice apple juice flavour, which was quickly followed by tomatoe, which wasnt so good.

The other one wasnt bad!  (They were on special at the supermarket, incase you hadnt guessed!)

Teaching in Shukogawa

April 17, 2008 at 1:13 pm (Uncategorized)

While teaching in, umm. Shukogawa (something like that.. between Kobe and Osaka on on the Hankyu line) i came accross what might possibly be the worlds biggest escalator.. possibly

See what i mean!!

Now.. onto food… i thought id try something new, so enter Mitsuya Cider drink, and McVities Green tea biscuits….

Look at how cute the little guys were! and not too bad either, something id eat again for sure! which is more than can be said for the drink.. imagine getting tescos blue strip lemonade, and putting an apple in it for a while. thats what it tasted like. bland and a bit fizzy..

Was confronted by this little terror in the park while i was eating! a future Yak in the making for sure!

Okiyama day two…

March 30, 2008 at 12:15 pm (bikes!, food!)

first stop in the morning- Bic Camera.. to look at bikes. Yep, thats my kind of logic!

I couldnt be bothered to take my camera, so used my camera phone instead:

Look at these bad boys! Mountainbikes, but with 16″wheels, and they are for adults as well, Japan is wierd like that!

Teaching is hungry work, so i bought this as a ‘sweet’ snack. It was in the dessert section, so, one would assume it was a sweet yes? NO!

It was a doughnut, stuffed with bacon, cheese and potato. While it wasnt too bad, it was a bit of a shock!

In hindsite, it was called a ‘German Potato’.

Finally, dinner! i splashed out and got a 1000yen Bento, and this is what it looked like:

It was nice, but i dont think it was worth £5, oh well. for my money i got: some chicken strips, some beef, some egg, some salmon, some tuna, a shrimp, a cocktail hotdog, a meatball on a stick, some pumpkin..umm. a few other things i couldnt identify, and lots of rice :)
